Laura provides advice where a dispute has arisen between married and unmarried couples, both during a relationship and in the event of a separation. Laura is an experienced negotiator and advises clients through alternative dispute resolution forums in addition to traditional litigation. She also represents parents in cases where child arrangements are disputed.

  • Financial provision upon divorce or separation, acting for both married and unmarried couples;
  • Experienced in managing cases involving business assets, foreign properties, pensions, family trusts and insolvency;
  • Future planning – preparation and negotiation of pre- & post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements;
  • Child arrangements, including cases of disputed paternity, international and domestic relocation, disputed education arrangements in both state and private sectors and disputed arrangements for foreign travel;
  • Experienced in advising clients through mediation, solicitor-led negotiation, arbitration or Court proceedings.

Laura advises clients from a wide range of professional backgrounds, in addition to small to medium business owners and home makers. She has particular experience of cases involving doctors, surgeons, members of the clergy, academics, teachers and individuals within the banking and aviation sectors.

Laura also has interest in cases where mental well-being is an issue. She has significant experience in difficult cases involving abusive and narcissistic behaviour, mental ill-health and addiction.

Laura graduated from the University of Manchester with an LLB in Law, having attained the highest mark for her dissertation within her year. She graduated from Oxford Brookes University with an LLM in Legal Practice prior to commencing her training contract with Blake Morgan. Laura qualified as a solicitor in 2014.
