Great fundraising start by the Cardiff office for the Wales Air Ambulance
This year, the Cardiff office are proud to support Wales Air Ambulance (WAA) as their Charity of the Year. The organisation is dedicated to providing 24/7 patient support and treatment at the scene of an accident or medical emergency. It’s been a great start to the partnership – almost £3,000 has been raised in the first three months. Below is a recap on the highlights so far.
Wales Air Ambulance: Lunch & Learn Session
The law firm were honoured to welcome an air ambulance crew member and a past patient from WAA to the office. Their visit was a powerful reminder of why they support this charity. The ambulance crew member shared stories from the front lines, illustrating the lifesaving work they do every day. Hearing firsthand about the challenges and triumphs they face was both eye-opening and inspiring.
Equally moving was the story shared by a past patient. They spoke about their journey, from the moment they needed urgent care to their recovery, thanks to the efforts of WAA. Their gratitude and resilience touched everyone in the room, reinforcing the importance of our fundraising efforts.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSR) will be arranging another talk with WAA in the Autumn so more staff will have an opportunity to get an insight into the work the work the Cardiff office charity does.
Fundraising Success: £2,903 and counting
The Cardiff CSR Committee would like to thank everyone for their incredible support, they have raised £2,903 so far as they look to hit the fundraising target of £10,000. The recent coastal path walk was a significant milestone, raising an impressive £2,133.75. This event was a testament to the team’s dedication, as they walked 21 miles from Rhoose to Cardiff Bay, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and contributed to a worthy cause.
In addition to the walk, the office sweepstakes for Eurovision and the Euros have added an element of fun while boosting our fundraising total. Congratulations to the respective winners Lee-Angel Bennett and Penri Desscan.
