Blake Morgan’s Public Sector Network – challenges for information governance (8/12/21) – PAST EVENT

It’s been yet another busy 12 months in the world of information governance. COVID continued to give rise to data protection challenges, Brexit finally happened with knock-on consequences to the data protection legislation framework in the UK, the UK Government set out its proposals in relation to shaking up UK data protection laws and there has been a recent flurry of court judgments – from High Court to the Supreme Court – relating to data breaches.

In this session, led by Blake Morgan’s own data protection experts, Liz Bell and Tomos Lewis and with guest speakers from the ICO’s Welsh office, we examined some of the recent trends and challenges for information governance in the public sector, and looked forward to what 2022 may bring.
