Getting business engagement on management of legal risk
Boards of directors and business managers need to take primary responsibility for managing legal risk, but they are often tempted to abdicate that responsibility to the legal team. This webinar will look at restoring that responsibility through a collaborative approach to management of legal risk. The session outlined the characteristics of true business engagement and how you might work towards achieving that, taking into account the impact of remote working. Key themes covered were:
- Assessment of legal risk, risk appetite and the need for legal services
- How to deploy resources appropriately
- Raising legal awareness in your organisation
- The process of how legal work is reviewed and prioritised
- Measuring success
You may recall that this event was initially planned as a face to face workshop earlier this year, but this was an interactive online session.
