Susan Elliott, Senior Manager, UK Network (South East) from the British Business Bank discussed the role of the Bank and how it helps create a more diverse finance market through alternative funders, challenger banks and others, and whether there is a disconnect between money and opportunities for businesses. We also heard from Ben Barbanel, Head of Debt Finance at OakNorth Bank, who talked about the importance of managing debt versus equity and the personal approach OakNorth takes with its clients.
