Camilla is a Legal Director in the Succession and Tax team.

Main areas of practice

Camilla specialises in a range of private client services, including capital taxes and succession advice, as well as Will planning and Trusts.

Clients

Camilla works with individuals, families, trustees and business owners, particularly those who have complex inheritance and capital gains tax issues.

She has a particular expertise in working on matters with a business or agricultural element.

Camilla qualified in 2007 after training at a niche private client firm in Lincoln’s Inn. She has since worked for Legal 500 and Chambers rated law firms as well as for a Big4 accountancy firm and, more recently, in-house as a senior tax adviser at the Country Land and Business Association.

Camilla joined Blake Morgan in January 2023.

Significant Experience

  • Working with several generations of a family business to streamline their succession planning and advising and drafting tax-efficient documents in regard to the upcoming sale of the company.
  • Tax-planning through the Court of Protection on behalf of Attorneys who had been approached in regard to a large-scale multi-million pound property development on land owned by the donor.
  • Advising on agricultural and business property relief for a diversified farming estate, and recommending strategies to improve the position as well as implementing immediate and longer-term succession planning.
  • Working with Trustees on an ongoing basis in regard to their duties and responsibilities and advising on the practical and tax aspects of their roles and the exercise of their powers.
