Elina is an Associate (FCILEx) in the firm’s Construction team, dealing with a wide range of contested and non-contested matters.
Main areas of practice
Elina advises a range of clients, including developers, contractors and employers, on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. She has experience in advising on, drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC and bespoke construction contracts, as well as well as collateral warranties, professional appointments and other ancillary construction documents. Elina also assists clients with claims in the Technology and Construction Court, adjudication, mediation and negotiation.

Career
Prior to joining Blake Morgan in September 2021, Elina gained over eight years’ experience with a national law firm in the areas of Clinical Negligence, Court of Protection, Special Educational Needs, Debt Recovery and Dispute Resolution. With over three years’ experience in Dispute Resolution, Elina has acted for a variety of clients on a wide range of commercial litigation matters, such as contractual, property, building and other disputes.
Elina is a qualified Chartered Legal Executive and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She is fluent in Latvian and Russian.

Elina enjoys taking part in various fundraising campaigns and has participated in a 5km run for Cancer Research, 10km London run for the Child Brain Injury Trust and Reading Half Marathon in support of Headway Thames Valley, amongst various other fundraising events.
