Helen is a Senior Associate within our regulatory group, specialising in professional regulation.
Main areas of practice
Helen has acted, and worked with, a range of professional regulatory bodies having specialised in this field for over 20 years. Helen has particular expertise in the regulation of accountants, health, and social care professionals where her work has included investigations, legal assessing and advocacy before fitness to Practice Committees. Helen has also sat as a member of a range of regulatory committees including Investigations, Authorisation and Fitness to Practice Committees.
Before moving to Blake Morgan, Helen managed and operated a Disciplinary Scheme for a chartered institute in the field of accountancy, having responsibility for the Scheme’s operational, advisory and case management work.
Helen also has experience of advising defendants subject to regulatory action in the accountancy and healthcare fields and has advised regulators on a range of strategic and case management issues and drafted regulatory policies, procedures and guidance material.

Helen joined Blake Morgan in early 2024 having previously worked in-house, for 14 years, as the Head of Professional Regulation for a chartered accountancy institute. Helen previously worked in private practice as a solicitor, associate and partner specialising in professional regulation. Helen has sat for over 14 years as a member of various regulatory committees for a range of regulators and currently sits as a member of a healthcare regulator’s Fitness to Practice Committees.
