Kathryn oversees and coordinates our equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) initiatives, working alongside our Inclusion Champions and Committees on a firm-wide basis. She provides advice and guidance to these groups as well as managing a variety of external stakeholder relationships with some of our key EDI Partner Organisations.
Main areas of practice
Kathryn provides advice and guidance to our internal Inclusion Champions and Network Groups, covering a variety of EDI Initiatives such as Race & Ethnicity, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Gender, Social Mobility and various others. This involves planning firm-wide campaigns and events, coordinating and creating written materials and designing and delivering training.
Kathryn is also responsible for managing key external stake holder relationships with our key EDI Partner Organisations and contributing and promoting their campaigns and events. She also assists with the production of workforce reports such as the Gender Pay Gap Report and our submissions to key benchmarking surveys such as the Inclusive Top 50 Employers list. She is a key member of both our EDI and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Boards as well as our HR Leadership Team.
Career
Kathryn graduated from the University of Bristol with an LLB Law degree in 2008, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management in 2013 from the University of the West of England, Bristol. Kathryn has worked in operational HR roles in a variety of sectors since 2010, including the healthcare and charitable sectors. Kathryn joined Blake Morgan in 2014 to support the Cardiff office as a HR Officer, and later a Regional HR Business Partner.
After a period of maternity leave Kathryn joined our Resourcing Team as a Resourcing Specialist, focusing on Graduate and Early Years Recruitment. During her time with Blake Morgan Kathryn has worked on a variety of projects and explored various interests, including leading our CSR Committee in Wales and becoming a Mental Health First Aider.
