Leoni Dempsey

Leoni is an Associate in the Real Estate team within the Property Group based in Oxford.

Main areas of practice

Leoni has experience in dealing with a broad range of commercial property work including freehold acquisitions and disposals, title investigations and secured lending. Leoni also deals with the full range of Landlord and Tenant transactions including advising on the granting and taking of commercial leases and the drafting of leases and other ancillary documentation.

Clients

Leoni acts for a broad range of clients including private individuals, corporates, limited liability companies and charitable organisations (which includes The Methodist Church). Leoni has experience of acting for both landlord and tenant clients in connection with leasehold transactions.

Interests

Leoni is an active member of the Corporate Responsibility committee in the Oxford office. In this role, she regularly promotes fundraising events and activities from across the office, and has organised numerous charity events, both for the office’s designated charity and for other local charities.

Leoni is also the current President of the Oxford Young Professionals Society, a local professional organisation that provides a ‘forum’ for graduates and junior members of staff (up to 10 years qualified) to network in and around Oxford.

Career

Leoni graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester, with a First Class Honours degree in Law, in June 2012. She then completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, graduating from there in June 2013 with a Distinction. Since then, Leoni has worked within the management team at WHSmiths in Oxford, before beginning her training contract with the firm in September 2015 and qualifying with the firm in September 2017.
