Meera Jansen

Meera is a Partner based in our London office and leads the Banking & Finance team.

Main areas of practice

Meera advises on all aspects of debt financing and is a specialist in leveraged and acquisition finance, lending into financial institutions – including funds finance and mortgaged backed lending, as well as all aspects of real estate finance.

She has additional sector expertise in healthcare, student accommodation and all aspects of real estate investment and development financing.

Clients

Her work involves acting for a wide range of clients on complex, multijurisdictional acquisition finance transactions, cross border equity bridge transactions, development finance transactions and all aspects of insolvency and restructuring.

Her clients include banks, investment funds, corporate borrowers and mezzanine lenders.

Significant experience

Preparing suites of commercial real estate finance documents for property lending funds in respect of real estate investment and development finance products, including full suite of security and guarantee documentation.

Career

Meera graduated with a LLB Hons in European Law with French and German from the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Joining from London firm Brecher, Meera has over 20 years’ experience in law, including time at the Royal Bank of Scotland on secondment.
