Sophie Stone

Sophie is a Trainee Solicitor in the Construction team, based in our Oxford Office.

Main areas of practice

Sophie is in the third seat of her training contract and is currently working with the Construction team. Sophie assists the team on a mixture of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Sophie completed the first seat of her training contract in the Banking & Finance department, where she assisted on a variety of transactions involving debt finance. Sophie completed her second seat in the Succession & Tax team, where she assisted on Probate, Estate Administration, Tax and Trust matters.

Sophie also has experience of regulatory law, having previously worked in the Regulatory team for over two years as a Paralegal.

Career

Sophie graduated from the University of Exeter in 2019 with an Upper second-class honours degree in Law. She then completed the LPC MSc in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law in Reading and graduated with a Distinction in 2020. In January 2021, Sophie joined Blake Morgan as a Paralegal in the Regulatory Team. Sophie was then promoted to a Case Manager in the Regulatory Team in July 2022. Sophie commenced her training contract with the firm in September 2023. Sophie’s first seat was within the Banking & Finance team and her second seat was within the Succession & Tax team.
