Blake Morgan appointed to all Lots of Welsh Government legal services framework

Blake Morgan has been appointed to all 14 lots of the Welsh Government Commercial Delivery (“WGCD”) Solicitors Services Framework, the only law firm to achieve this distinction. This achievement reinforces the firm’s status as a key legal partner for the Welsh public sector, providing expertise across a comprehensive range of legal specialisms.

The WGCD framework plays a vital role in enabling the Welsh Government and public sector bodies to procure expert legal services efficiently. Blake Morgan’s appointment ensures continued access to high-quality legal support across critical areas, including employment law, education law, planning and environmental law, IT and commercial contracts, procurement, projects and public administration law. Covering both South and North Wales, as well as central Welsh Government advisory work, the firm’s involvement will help shape legal decision-making for public sector clients nationwide. The framework is for a period of four years.

Blake Morgan’s successful appointment followed an extensive evaluation process in which the firm achieved full marks across all three key quality criteria:

Mae Blake Morgan wedi ei benodi i bob un o’r 14 lot Fframwaith Gwasanaethau Cyfreithwyr Cyflenwi Masnachol Llywodraeth Cymru (“CMLlC”), yr unig gwmni i gyflawni’r rhagoriaeth hon. Mae hyn yn atgyfnerthu statws y cwmni fel partner cyfreithiol allweddol y sector gyhoeddus yng Nghymru, gan adlewyrchu arbenigedd y cwmni ar draws ystod eang o arbenigeddau cyfreithiol.

Mae’r fframwaith yn chwarae rhan hanfodol o alluogi Llywodraeth Cymru a chyrff y sector cyhoeddus i gaffael gwasanaethau cyfreithiol arbenigol. Mae penodiad Blake Morgan yn sicrhau mynediad parhaus at gymorth cyfreithiol o ansawdd uchel ar draws meysydd hollbwysig, gan gynnwys cyfraith cyflogaeth, addysg, cynllunio a’r amgylchedd, contractau masnachol a TG, caffael, prosiectau a cyfraith gyhoeddus a gweinyddol. Mae Blake Morgan wedi ei benodi ledled Cymru yn ogystal â’r lot penodol i gynghori Llywodraeth Cymru, a bydd cyfranogiad y cwmni yn helpu i lunio penderfyniadau cyfreithiol ar gyfer cleientiaid y sector cyhoeddus ledled y wlad. Mae’r fframwaith am gyfnod o 4 blynedd.

Penodwyd Blake Morgan yn dilyn proses werthuso helaeth lle enillodd y cwmni farciau llawn ar draws y tri maen prawf ansawdd allweddol:

  • Hyfforddi a datblygu: Cydnabod ymrwymiad y cwmni i ddatblygiad proffesiynol ei gyfreithwyr, gan sicrhau lefel uchel gyson o wasanaeth i gleientiaid y sector cyhoeddus.
  • Technoleg ac arloesi: darpariaeth technoleg gyfreithiol arloesol y cwmni, ynghyd ag arbedion effeithlonrwydd a yrrir gan Ddeallusrwydd Artiffisial i wella gwasanaeth cleientiaid a symleiddio prosesau cyfreithiol.
  • Dealltwriaeth o ddeddfwriaeth Cymru: arbenigedd trylwyr yng nghyfraith Cymru a’r gallu i gynnig gwasanaethau cyfreithiol cwbl ddwyieithog yn y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg.

Yn ogystal, dyfarnwyd marciau llawn (100%) i Blake Morgan am arbenigedd technegol mewn 12 o’r 14 lot, gan atgyfnerthu ymhellach ei safle fel cynghorydd cyfreithiol dibynadwy i’r sector gyhoeddus yng Nghymru.
