Blake Morgan appoints new HR Director
Blake Morgan has announced that Liz Bryne has been permanently appointed as HR & Development Director. Liz joined the firm in March 2015, and since January 2020 has been interim HR Director, supporting the firm’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as driving forward their equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
The new appointment came into effect from 1 March, and Liz has already started working closely with the Strategy Board focusing on recruitment and retention, a significant part of the firm’s future strategy for growth, as well as other HR matters.
Liz’s background is in learning and development, recruitment and equality, and diversity and inclusion. She spent a significant part of her career in London, working at City firms Jones Day and Herbert Smith Freehills.
Mike Wilson, Managing Partner said: “I am delighted to appoint Liz to the role of HR & Development Director. Liz has been a key part of our HR team since she joined as Head of Learning and Development in 2015, and over the past year she has been an essential part of our pandemic response, as well as driving forward our equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives. I would like to congratulate Liz on her appointment and look forward to working with her going forwards.”
Liz Bryne commented: “I am very pleased to be taking on this role on a permanent basis, and am looking forward to building on the work I have already started to support Blake Morgan in its ambition to be a progressive employer with a strong focus on improving diversity and inclusion within the legal sector.”
