Blake Morgan awarded STEP Employer Platinum Partner accreditation

Posted on 13th December 2018
National leading law firm Blake Morgan has been accredited by the STEP Employer Partnership Programme (EPP) and awarded ‘Platinum Employment Partner’ status.

STEP is the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. It works to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.

The Employer Partnership Programme provides a set of quality standards for law firms. Blake Morgan was given the Platinum award, the highest level available, in recognition of their commitment to the professional development of their staff and their dedication to providing the best possible service to clients.

Helen Bunker, Divisional Director for Private Law at Blake Morgan, said: “This is great news for the Succession & Tax practice group and for our private client practice. STEP is a well-known and very highly regarded organisation, particularly in respect of the more complex inheritance and estate planning work in which we specialise, so to have achieved this speaks volumes for the quality of our teams and of the work that we do. It also gives us access to additional learning resources that will help us to ensure that we stay ahead of changes in the market.”

As a Platinum partner the Succession & Tax teams at Blake Morgan will benefit from a wide range of knowledge sharing and networking opportunities, as well as valuable online resources, including the STEP Journal, and the Trust Quarterly Review (TQR).

Commenting on the accreditation, Head of Learning and Development at Blake Morgan, Liz Bryne says: “There is no doubt that this accreditation is testament to the hard work that goes on within Succession & Tax to maintain levels of technical competence across the broad range of services it provides to private individuals. But it is more than that. I was also delighted to see STEP recognise more generally the supportive environment that the firm strives to create for its people and how highly it rates some of the initiatives it has rolled out in recent years, many of which we take for granted. It’s something of which we should be really proud.”

Laura Keith, STEP Programme Manager – Employer Partnerships says: “It is evident Blake Morgan is a hugely supportive employer and has a fantastic culture for learning and development and career progression. Although the firm works across a number of offices, it is clear its policies and procedures operate consistently to the same high standard.”
