Blake Morgan’s London office secures top rankings in Legal 500 directory in 2023

Posted on 7th October 2022

Blake Morgan’s London office is celebrating, as its leading teams and individuals have been recognised with a series of accolades in the 2023 edition of the Legal 500.

The highly-regarded directory recognises the quality of law firms and their lawyers across the UK, based on an extensive annual review process and feedback from clients and peers in the industry.  This year the London office secured 13 rankings – a testament to the quality of its work and the industry standing of Blake Morgan’s lawyers in the capital.

For another year, the London office’s ‘very professional’ and ‘extremely helpful’ Professional Discipline practice achieved the highest Tier 1 ranking for its delivery of best-in-class service, while 11 lawyers whose practice areas are featured in the Legal 500’s London region also won individual recognition in the directory.

Three of the firm’s London lawyers were featured in the renowned ‘Hall of Fame’ category.  Among them was corporate expert Bruce Potter from the Healthcare team who was singled out for his ‘wide and varied experience in national public policy’, Professional Discipline expert, Bradley Albuery and travel law specialist Daniel Scognamiglio.  Daniel was described by one of his clients as a ‘legal pioneer’ who is ‘very commercially astute; brave and prepared to take the most difficult and ground-breaking cases to the highest appellate levels.’

A further three individuals were recognised as ‘Leading Individuals’, including Clare Strickland, Ian Skuse and Nick Leale.  Delme Griffiths, James Danks and Michelle Davenport were all named ‘Rising Stars’ as well as Antonia Dowgray who, along with Clare Strickland, was commended for being ‘very good at keeping us informed of case progression, anticipated delays, and ways to avoid or address these.’

Helen Bunker, partner in the London office and Head of Private Client at Blake Morgan, said:

The successes of the London team in this year’s Legal 500 rankings are very well deserved. The exceptional feedback from clients reflects all the hard work I see the team putting in every day. I am delighted to see the individual achievements of lawyers recognised in their high-ranking positions as well the Tier 1 ranking secured by our Professional Discipline practice. Their successes show their continued dedication to delivering top-class service to clients, and to remaining trusted advisors in an uncertain political and economic climate.
