Blake Morgan’s Thames Valley team delivers another strong performance in Chambers & Partners 2021

Blake Morgan’s Thames Valley team are celebrating another strong showing in the 2021 edition of the Chambers & Partners Guide, which recognises and recommends the best performing lawyers and legal firms across the UK.

This year, ten Blake Morgan practice areas from the region were ranked as either Band 1 or 2. The firm’s Construction and Planning teams were listed in Band 1. In Band 2, the firm saw, Banking and Finance, Corporate, Employment, Litigation, Real Estate, Restructuring / Insolvency, Family and Matrimonial, and Social Housing all ranked. Senior management at the Band 1 Planning team were in line for significant praise, with one client stating their offering was “excellent: collaborative, pragmatic and helpful, and overall, they provide a great service.”

The firm’s commitment to high quality client care and a detailed commercial understanding were common themes this year, with one client noting that the firm’s lawyers are “all very expert and experienced, responsive and helpful”. The firm was praised for its “breadth of knowledge and expertise” and for being “very calm under pressure.”

The Guide also recognises leading lawyers from across the industry. This year, six of the firm’s lawyers from the Thames Valley region were ranked as Band 1 or 2.  Those listed in Band 1 included Richard Wade, Partner and Head of Construction, William Downing, Partner and Head of Employment, Zoe Wright, Head of the Property Litigation team and Guthrie McGruer, Partner in the Planning team.  The guide also identifies future leaders across the firm, and named Nicola Diggle, from the Litigation team, as an ‘Associate to Watch’ whose ‘reassuring presence in court’ was praised by one client.
