Travel claims expert Daniel Scognamiglio, at leading national law firm Blake Morgan, is celebrating after winning one of the top accolades at the Legal Awards 2018.

Daniel was awarded the prestigious title of Travel Claims Lawyer of the Year at the event, which is run by Lawyer Monthly Magazine.

The Legal Awards recognise the achievements of law firms and individuals who have delivered outstanding results for their clients over the past 12 months.  Judges in this category were looking for a lawyer who had an exceptional year, and gave particular attention to those that had carried out high value and complex claims.

Daniel leads the firm’s Travel team based in Southampton. He is a specialist in multi-jurisdictional disputes, travel insurance litigation and tour operator liability.

The award recognises Daniel’s expertise and commitment in guiding and advising clients on travel claims. He has a particular specialism in handling travel insurance and foreign personal injury matters, advising insurers and the public as a result of accidents that have happened abroad; dealing with general insurance litigation and commercial disputes with an international or multi-jurisdictional element. Daniel also advises travel agents and tour operators as to the Package Travel Regulations, ATOL and CAA.

Commenting on his win, Daniel said: “To be awarded ‘Travel Claims Lawyer of the Year’ is a real honour. I am proud to have been able to secure a number of successful outcomes for our clients over the last year on some high value and complex claims.”
