Double delight for Daniel at Welsh Law Awards
Blake Morgan Senior Associate Daniel Taylor had an evening to remember as he won two awards at the Welsh Law Awards on Thursday 17 October.
Daniel was named ‘Solicitor of the Year (1-4 Years)’ and ‘Welsh Law Awards Champion’. This followed up on his recognition in the Chambers and Partners 2025 rankings earlier in the day when he was named as an ‘Associate to watch’ – the prestigious guide was clearly well informed for what was to come. This year’s Legal 500 guide also recognised Daniel as a ‘Leading Associate’.
The awards took place at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff and were founded to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the legal community in Wales.
Eve Piffaretti, Head of Office in Wales and a Partner in Blake Morgan’s Commercial & Charities team, commented:
What a fabulous achievement this is for Dan. It is thoroughly deserved recognition for all the hard work he does. He is such a great asset to the firm and it was also wonderful to see the support he had.
Daniel is in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in Cardiff. He specialises in commercial disputes and public law matters, including procurement law, Welsh language law, mental capacity and mental health law. Daniel is also a deputy Welsh language champion for the firm and a key support for the adult social care work that Blake Morgan completes, alongside other cross team members too.
He advises clients in both the English and Welsh language and has demonstrated the outstanding quality of his client care and technical expertise in order to receive recognition at the Welsh Law Awards.
Daniel added: “I am really thrilled to win both of these awards. It was a great evening and winning the overall ‘Champion’ category was very unexpected. I am very proud and grateful to the firm for all of the experiences and support I have had.”
