Blake Morgan partner, Katie James, has been recognised for her legal expertise in the Global 100 Listings.

The Global 100 Rankings recognise lawyers around the world that are leaders in their field.  Katie, who heads up the firm’s Business Support and Insolvency team in the Thames Valley, was nominated by a client for the strategic nature, complexity of the insolvency advice she provides.

The rankings, run by KMH Media, select nominees based on the quality of legal advice and experience of domestic and international work. Shortlisted nominees are then voted for by the magazine’s readership.

Katie is an experienced insolvency lawyer, and partner, aiming to maximise recoveries for her clients, whether through sales of assets or by way of litigation. She has worked in all areas of insolvency, including formal processes such as administration, liquidation, receivership and bankruptcy as well as in less formal distressed situations. Katie has particular expertise in dealing with distressed care homes as well as hotels and complex group structures. She is recognised by the legal directories including Chambers who cite her “strong breadth of knowledge.”

Commenting on the accreditation, Katie said: “It is an honour to receive a Global 100 ranking which recognises the complexity of the business support and insolvency advice that I and the rest of the team at Blake Morgan provide to businesses, insolvency practitioners, lenders and investors.”
