Leading law firm strengthens private client team

Blake Morgan has made three key appointments to build on the success of its Private Law team.

The firm has appointed Mark Scott as a Legal Director in the firm’s London office, where he will be leading the firm’s highly respected Residential Property Team.

Mark joins Blake Morgan from Mishcon de Reya, where he specialised in residential property work for high net worth individuals. Mark has a strong reputation in the residential property market, having acted for domestic and overseas high net worth clients and investors, and for banks on secured lending matters. Mark will lead the London team which includes the firm’s national specialists in leasehold enfranchisement.

Laura Harper also joins the London office, as a Senior Associate in the succession and tax team. Laura joins from Morrisons Solicitors and specialises in advising high net worth individuals, families and business owners. Laura brings to the firm a deep knowledge of the charity sector, which will extend the service offering to clients.

Meanwhile, Charlene Davies-Williams joins the team as a Senior Solicitor and will be working from the firm’s Cardiff office, where she will specialise in succession and tax. Joining from Martyn Prowel Solicitors, Charlene has 12 years’ experience as a private client solicitor.

Their appointments come as Blake Morgan strengthens its teams as part of an ongoing recruitment drive, with other appointments made in its London-based built environment, commercial litigation, private law, residential property and real estate practices as well as in the wider firm’s offices on the South Coast, Thames Valley and in Cardiff.
