Leading law firm support British In Vitro Diagnostics Association
Blake Morgan has become a member of the British In Vitro Diagnostics Association (BIVDA) and will provide support on the Procurement Act 2023.
BIVDA is the national industry association for manufacturers and distributors of medical diagnostic tests in the UK, representing 97% of the industry and nearly 250 organisations.
The association works to create an operating environment that helps members to develop and improve their products, succeed in the global market, and contribute to better healthcare outcomes for patients. Members benefit from a wide range of information, resources, and services.
With Blake Morgan’s expertise in the healthcare and life sciences sector, the full services commercial law firm will provide legal support to BIVDA and its members,
Helen Dent, Chief Executive (Interim) at BIVDA, commented:
We are pleased to welcome Blake Morgan LLP as members, their extensive expertise and experience in medical diagnostic procurement and legislation will help support our network during the implementation of the new procurement rules with opportunities for members to take part in training events and working party discussion. I am looking forward to sharing our expertise more widely with them so they get the best value from their membership of BIVDA.
Tomos Lewis, Partner at Blake Morgan, added:
“We are thrilled to be working with BIVDA members, supporting them and their members with legal advice on the full range of commercial and regulatory matters. The firm has significant expertise in healthcare and life sciences so will be able to guide members through potentially tricky times, getting to grips with the changing environment.”
In particular, Blake Morgan will be supporting BIVDA members in relation to the procurement reforms that are being introduced following the introduction of the Procurement Act 2023 and the Provider Selection Regime. The Act will have a significant impact on procurement process for private sector organisations who bid for contracts within the public sector. Blake Morgan will be delivering a series of webinars to BIVDA members on the reforms.
Blake Morgan is running a series of webinars on the Procurement Act 2023 to help organisations be ready for change, which you can discover more about on their Procurement Hub here.
