Louise di Mambro OBE joins Blake Morgan’s Privy Council team
Leading law firm Blake Morgan has appointed Louise di Mambro OBE as a consultant in its Privy Council team, upon her retirement as Registrar of the Privy Council and UK Supreme Court.
Louise has had a distinguished legal career, gaining extensive experience in many prominent roles. Having been called to the Bar in 1976, Louise spent the first 20 years of her career as a member of the Government Legal Service in the Treasury Solicitor’s Department and Lord Chancellor’s Department. In 1997, Louise joined the court staff in the Court of Appeal, Civil Division and was subsequently appointed as a Deputy Master, a role which involved working in the Royal Courts of Justice. She then became Deputy Head of the Judicial Office of the House of Lords, before becoming Acting – and then permanently – Registrar of the Privy Council in 2009.
Louise received an OBE in the 2021 New Year’s honours list for services to the administration of justice.
Louise di Mambro, Consultant at Blake Morgan, says:
Blake Morgan is a highly regarded firm with a distinguished record of Privy Council cases and I am delighted to have been engaged as a Consultant. I am looking forward to working with the firm’s Privy Council team, and contributing to its success and growth.
Sarah Rees, Partner and Head of Commercial Litigation London at Blake Morgan, says: “We are delighted that Louise has decided to pursue this stage of her career with Blake Morgan, and our team and our clients will all benefit considerably from her incomparable expertise and experience.”
