New development in Sociable Housing

Posted on 25th January 2024

Sociable Housing is a new networking group created by Blake Morgan for housing sector professionals.

The group is part of the leading law firm’s Developing Connections forum, which is aimed at those in the real estate industry.

Sociable Housing is an ideal opportunity for people in the housing sector to network with like-minded professionals, discuss how to tackle the challenges that the sector is facing, hear from leading experts and have time out from the busy working day.

Networking and learning will play a key part of the group. Sociable Housing will be a mix of training, legal updates and social events for those working in, for and in collaboration with the sector.

The inaugural Sociable Housing event took place in early January in Swansea and was an intimate event, which saw professionals from the housing sector have a relaxed evening meal, followed up by attendance at a musical.

Blake Morgan Social Housing partner Louise Howells commented:

Away from the hustle and bustle of the working day, conversation flowed over a fantastic meal at Gigi Gao’s. The evening ended on a high note with the empowering and energetic musical Six at Swansea Arena. Thank you to guests Claire Tristham, Kathryn Morris, Anna Cook, Clare Way, Victoria Williams and my Blake Morgan co-hosts Siân Jones, Paula Kathrens, Kate Howell, Natalie Taylor, Tanya Barrett, and Katie Edwards for making it such a lovely event.

“We are looking forward to hosting more events whether it be provision of training, key legal updates or another social event but all will come with an opportunity for networking for those in the housing sector. It is our intention to offer a variety of events to ensure that it is as inclusive as possible and that it is felt that time has been well spent.”

If you would like to be informed of future events, contact Louise Howells or Lucy Walker.
