PAR 59 golf bar project underway in Cardiff

Posted on 4th November 2021

Construction has begun on indoor mini-golf, bar and restaurant facilities at St Mary’s Street, Cardiff with Blake Morgan providing project and cost management services for the scheme’s delivery.

This £1.2m design and build refurbishment, which is the brainchild of Wales and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, is the law firm’s first scheme for new client Par 59. Blake Morgan have worked with the preferred contractor, Paramount Interiors, on driving value into the specification so that it aligns with the client’s budget and are now actively engaged in exploring future developments with them.

Alex McCusker, Project Director in the firm’s Project and Cost Management team, said:

This has been a complex project due to the pandemic delaying its start and our client recently taking the decision to move from the original site proposed to new larger premises. Brexit has also contributed to material supply issues and cost increases. I'm delighted that we've been able to overcome all these challenges and that work on site is now underway.

The 23,000 sq ft venue is scheduled to open in Spring 2022.
