Santa’s helpers call on Oxford businesses to donate to Secret Santa Scheme for disadvantaged children
Blake Morgan is working in collaboration with Children Heard and Seen, a charity providing support to children affected by parental imprisonment, and with Oxfordshire Social Services, to provide disadvantaged children in the local area with a gift this Christmas.
In 2019, the initiative raised almost 1,000 gifts to children nominated by Oxfordshire Social Services, and West Berkshire Social Services, as well as Children Heard and Seen. Due to the pandemic in 2020, Blake Morgan were limited in what they could do through the initiative. However, they were able to adapt the Scheme provide almost 200 gifts to children nominated by Children Heard and Seen through an Amazon wish-list.
This year, the firm are hoping to reinvigorate the initiative, and would invite any interested businesses to get in touch.
Those taking part are given gift tags that show the first names, ages and gift wishes for the children.
Blake Morgan are aiming for the presents to be delivered by participating companies by Thursday, 9 December 2021 to their offices at Seacourt Tower, on West Way, so they can be passed on to Children Heard and Seen and Oxfordshire Social Services in time for Christmas.
Sam Hardy, a Trainee Legal Executive in Blake Morgan’s Succession & Tax Team, and Sara Brown, a Solicitor in Blake Morgan’s Commercial Property Team, are co-ordinating this year’s scheme for the firm.
Sam said:

Sara commented: “This scheme relies on the support of volunteers and we really can’t express enough thanks to the organisations and individuals that have taken part over the years. We look forward to working with you again to make such a huge difference to so many Christmases.”
