The prestigious Legal 500 UK Guide for 2023 has recognised Blake Morgan’s teams and leading individuals in the Thames Valley and beyond. The highly-regarded directory recognises the quality of law firms and their lawyers across the UK, based on an extensive review process and feedback from clients and peers in the industry.

26 of the firm’s Thames Valley based lawyers were recognised this year, with healthcare expert Bruce Potter and banking and finance lawyer Guy Constant achieving the renowned ‘Hall of Fame’ status. Penny Rinta-Suski was awarded ‘Leading Individual’ status in recognition of her ‘unmatched’ experience with local government, as was the ‘amazingly responsive’ Zoe Wright from the Real Estate team. Allison Patten-Hall, Andrew Farmery, Chris Potts, Clare Strickland, James Greig, Nick Leale, Rebecca McCabe-North and Head of Construction, Richard Wade, also shared this accolade – with litigator Chris Potts described by clients as ‘tenacious in fighting their corner’. Succession and tax expert James Greig was also singled out for being ‘attentive, helpful, efficient and understanding’.

Seven Thames Valley lawyers successfully achieved ‘Next Generation Partner’ status, including charities and not-for-profit expert Ben Brice, described as ‘an absolute pleasure to work with’, commercial lawyer Elisabeth Bell, George Panteli, Katie James, Michael Ward, Nicola Diggle, and employment lawyer Rajiv Joshi – who received particular praise for being ‘very responsive, pragmatic and business-focused’.  Seven lawyers in the region were ranked as ‘Rising Stars’: Andrew Murphy, Antonia Dowgray, Catherine Morgan, James Danks, Kathryn Woodward, Paul Hayward, and Timothy Coles.

Overall across the firm, Blake Morgan secured an impressive 58 rankings, with 28 practice areas recognised in the highest ranking of ‘Tier 1’.  The practice areas that achieved Tier 1 status included Corporate and Commercial; Employment; Real Estate; Dispute Resolution; Banking and Finance; Technology; Media and Telecoms; Public Sector; Private Client; and Professional Negligence.

Mike Wilson, Managing Partner at Blake Morgan, said:

Congratulations to all the dedicated, hard-working team members from the Thames Valley recognised in this year’s Legal 500. This well-deserved and exceptional feedback from clients clearly shows the first-class service Blake Morgan is proud to deliver. Even more individual lawyers were singled out for praise this year, showing a real breadth of excellence across the different disciplines and levels of experience at the firm. The deep and sincere praise reflects their dedication to continuing to provide trusted advice in an uncertain political and economic climate.
