Thames Valley Tech Awards goes virtual

Posted on 25th September 2020
Blake Morgan were proud to sponsor The Thames Valley Tech Awards 2020, held last night (Thursday 24 September), and this year was the first virtual awards.

As part of Blake Morgan’s approach to supporting and advising innovative technology companies, we were lead sponsors and judges for the science and technology award. In normal years, this would involve in person meetings, networking and hundreds attending a black tie event to announce winners. This year, we went virtual from start to finish!

With Vernon Kay hosting the awards from a studio in Reading, Rajiv Joshi and Sam Peers had their own Oscars announcement moment video calling in to congratulate this year’s deserved winner, Kymira. Wine in hand to make sure they fully embraced the awards ceremony atmosphere.

This was one of many highlights Blake Morgan achieved. Sam and Rajiv remotely met and interviewed a number of amazing companies throughout the Thames Valley on the run up to the night. It’s fantastic to see the wealth of innovation, mainly around life science, that we have on our doorstep. With access to great talent, increased number of dedicated science or technology campuses to base themselves and an ever increasing flow of investment, more and more tech firms are calling the Thames Valley and South Coast home. This is all helping put the UK on the map as a hub for innovate technology businesses.

A huge congratulations to all other finalists and winners. The quality was extremely high, the Blake Morgan tech team look forward to seeing how the exciting projects grow and develop.
