Vaccine project supported by Blake Morgan nominated for prestigious public procurement award
Blake Morgan were part of a national Covid vaccine distribution project that that has been nominated as a finalist in the UK National GO Awards 2021/22.
The leading law firm advised on this NHS England and NHS Improvement project alongside the NHS Arden & GEM CSU team, PA Consulting, Baringa and Hatmill, which has been shortlisted for the COVID-19 Response and Recovery Award – NHS and Healthcare Organisations.
The GO Awards recognise excellence in public procurement and the supply chain. They showcase organisations that lead the way in public procurement and best practice across the UK.
Blake Morgan Partner Bruce Potter, who advised on the project, said:
It is a huge honour to be nominated as a finalist as this acknowledges the dedication that everyone involved has put into such an important project. I would like to congratulate everyone involved in this work and thank them all for their perseverance and expertise in getting this project over the line.
The work provided the specialist expertise needed to successfully execute an innovative and urgent procurement and contracting strategy, which ensured vaccine stock was delivered on time and in full. Effective continuing commercial and contract management also ensured value for money.
The GO Awards ceremony will take place at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham on 25 May.
