Mary Mulhern, Consultant at Blake Morgan, presented Marta with her winning trophy. Mary said:
It's great to support an exciting sport which brings together some of the best female athletes from around the world. Seeing these riders race through the area we work and live at astonishing speed and skill is incredible to watch.
The race, which saw a crash 1km from the end, had amazing support from Oxfordshire locals lining the route, cheering riders all the way to finishing line at the centre of Banbury.
This is the second year that Blake Morgan have supported the Women’s Tour of Britain, and will look forward to continuing their support into 2022. With keen cyclists and a welcome return of in-person events, the law firm will also host a number of client cycle rides, bringing together women and men who are keen to dust off their bikes. Perhaps not quite as fast as the Women’s Tour though!
Highlights of stage one were shown on ITV at 9pm on Monday and are now available on demand through the ITV Hub. The Women’s tour continues through England, with the finale reaching Felixstowe on Saturday 9 October.
