Private Client Issues – March 2023

9th March 2023

Welcome to this month’s edition of Private Client Issues, Blake Morgan’s monthly round-up of the topics you may find of interest. It features insight and advice on developments affecting private individuals.

Our teams work both from our offices and remotely and are happy to meet with you virtually, or in person where this is preferred. We have found that many clients prefer the convenience of a video meeting, whilst other prefer face to face, particularly for the first meeting.

Making a last Will and testament

Blake Morgan Partner Lisa Davies speaks to Anna Ryder Richardson on BBC Radio Wales about making a Will. Discussion centres around why making a Will shouldn’t slip off your to-do list and what would happen if we lose a loved one who hasn’t made a Will. The chat with Lisa is available on BBC Sounds and you can listen to her advice from about 69 minutes into the show.

How to make changes to your Will

Dependent on your personal circumstances, it is generally advisable to review your Will every 3-5 years, after a significant life event (such as a death, marriage, divorce etc) or a change to the value of your estate. Even if the changes appear to be minor, advice should be obtained as to how your Will should be amended.
