Government delays the long-awaited implementation of Liberty Protection Safeguards
The Government has announced it will delay the implementation of Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS), the long-awaited replacement to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). This situation will be frustrating for those who were hoping for improved protections and streamlining of processes for vulnerable people.
