Travel insurance claims
Acting for claimants or their insurers following catastrophic or simple accident abroad. We often handle claims in accordance with an insurer's legal expenses insurance policy and are well versed in advising both claimants and insurers appropriately. We are on the panel for the majority of legal expenses insurance policies attached to travel insurance policies. Due to the team's experience, languages and multi-jurisdictional ability, the team is often able to conduct claims with less reliance on foreign counsel than our peers, making it easier to manage the costs of handling these complex cases.
Recoveries
Our Travel Insurance team has one of the best records for recoveries. These claims can be brought independently of or as a subrogated part of the policyholder's claim either at home or abroad. This includes dual insurance claims.
Policy disputes
Our expert travel insurance lawyers advise insurers following policy disputes and this includes handling litigation brought by policyholders ranging in value from small claims to multimillion pound claims brought in the High Court. We assist insurers in dealing with FOS where litigation may follow the complaint. Advice is provided to insurers as to policy terms and conditions.
Defending claims
Acting for policyholders and insurers in defending claims with particular expertise following accidents in the USA, Canada and throughout the EU following ski and other snow sport and marine accidents.
