PMO Support Analyst


The PMO Support Analyst is an integral member of the Project Team.  Effective change delivery support and people engagement are critical to the success of the role.  The role can be based in any Blake Morgan office, with regular travel to other offices as required.
The PMO Support Analyst role is primarily responsible for:
•       You will be part of the programme delivery function, working closely with the Programme Manager, and who will be tasked with ensuring an ambitious portfolio of business change and IT technology projects are delivered on time and in line with the firm’s objectives and strategy. Ensuring projects are coordinated and managed appropriately, in line with a governance framework that you will help to create.
•       Providing support services and oversight ensuring visibility of spend status and risk.
•       Taking ownership of smaller, discrete project and change initiatives in isolation or as a workstream lead project supporting a larger project.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Responsibilities not limited to the following:
•       Helping to establish the project delivery function, which will involve designing and implementing our internal processes and governance arrangements. Working with the IT Programme Manager and Change Manager and other business services colleagues to define the scope and remit of the team and its position in the firm.
•       Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, customers, and suppliers
•       Ensuring the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
•       Assisting the IT Programme Manager and Change Managers in the production and maintenance of project plans and other project related documentation.
•       Co-ordinate the production of all reports and produce project summary reports, producing financial and non-financial reports and management information
•       Set up and maintain systems for recording project costs
•       Maintain risk and issue logs and change control records
•       Stay up to date on all projects and current status to assist with keeping projects and programmes on track and to budget
•       Work closely with the IT Programme Manager and Change Manager to identify opportunities to continuously improve existing governance processes

Skills / Experience Required

•       Relevant professional qualifications i.e. P30, APMP, Prince2, APMG Change Management (desirable but not essential)
•       Good knowledge of IT system implementation
•       Experience of working in a legal or other professional services environment (desirable)
•       Knowledge and experience of working with a range of project and risk management methodologies and techniques, and related governance frameworks and documentation together with a good understanding of the PMO core tools and processes
•       Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally within a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
•       Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers, and third party partners/suppliers
•       Ability to demonstrate good understanding of the use of standard tools and templates to monitor project budget, timescales and scope in line with an agreed plan
•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess keen attention to detail and numeracy and multi-tasking skills
•       Self-motivated with ability to deal with difficult or demanding situations.  Well-developed analytical skills
•       Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment
